The New Touchscreen eReader by Kobo, Best eReader

Everyone is familiar with the Amazon Kindle.  I own one and it’s my favorite gadget.  But now there’s a new e-Reader out by a company called Kobo.  It’s actually a touch screen, and like the iPad, it lets you flip through the pages effortlessly.  The problem with the iPad is that you can’t read it when you’re out in the sun or at night in the dark.  But with the Kobo e-reader you can read it outdoors, in the sun or in the dark, and you can flip pages like the iPad.

It comes in 4 different colors, it’s both smaller and lighter than the kindle, and so it’s easy to tuck into your bag or pocket, and carry from class to class.  It has great battery life too! It can last up to several months in some cases! Nice!

New Amazon Text Book Service

Have you heard?  Amazon now has a new text book service.  The text book service will allow you to rent the text books for anywhere from 30 to 360 days.  And where that’s important is a.) you’re not lugging around these giant text books, but b.) and perhaps more importantly, you’re not paying for the textbooks, you’re only renting them for the time that you need them. How cool is that?!
